The Sunshine Kids Mission and Goal
The Sunshine Kids Foundation adds quality of life to children with cancer by providing them with exciting, positive group activities, so they may once again do what kids are supposed to do, have fun and celebrate life! Young cancer patients are provided opportunities to participate in positive group activities which promote self-esteem, personal accomplishment and just plain old fashioned fun!
Funded by personal contributions, corporations and foundations, the Sunshine Kids continues, as it has since its inception, to provide all of its activities completely free of charge to the children’s families and hospitals.
A benefit dinner will be held Friday, July 16th at the Sheraton Steamboat Springs from 6-9 pm. Dinner will include pasta, sauces, salad, bread and a cash bar. The Friday night Benefit Dinner, hosted by Prudential Steamboat Realty, is excited to announce the return of one America’s most accomplished cyclist, Andy Hampsten, as the keynote speaker. Andy will share stories from his cycling career and will be joined by a Sunshine Kids Spokeskid who will share their experience with the Sunshine Kids Foundation. All of this will be accompanied by a great pasta dinner to prepare for the next days ride and a silent auction ( see list below) to raise money for the Sunshine Kids.
Cost for the benefit dinner is $25.00 per person (Kids under 8 are free), with all proceeds going to the Sunshine Kids. Tickets may be purchased at active.com. Tickets will not be for sale after Thursday July 15th due to the planning of this event.

Packet pick-up/race registration will be on Friday evening at Ski Haus from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Late Packet Pick-up will be available at the start from 6:30-7:30 am.
